Eligible voters are currently active APA members that are not designated as a Medical Student or International Member. Members interested in running for office should review the eligibility requirement.

2023 - 2024 Election Schedule

| Slate of Candidates Announced | Mid-October |
| Petition Deadline | Nominating petitions must be filed with the Secretary within 15 days of the announcement of the candidate slate. Nominees whom the Nominating Committee determines meet the requirements set by the Board of Trustees for being a petition candidate will be included on the ballot for the following year. |
