Integrated care often makes use of Telepsychiatric services. When team members are involved in a session, it is important to incorporate each member in the process.

Some essentials for the use of telepsychiatry in integrated care:

• Ask that each member of the team present at the originating site and remote site introduce themselves including their name, title, and function related to the patient
• Be sure the patient understands the nature of the encounter
• After interviewing and examining the patient, check in with each team member present for their input
• Clarifying the diagnostic impression and feasibility of a treatment plan should briefly occur with each team member present
