The Annual Meeting Scientific Program Committee has authority over the arrangements and content of the Scientific Program of the Annual Meeting, subject to Board approval. It holds one meeting in the fall to select the program for the upcoming meeting and one meeting in the summer to evaluate the previous Annual Meeting and begin plans for the upcoming meeting. The committee is charged to:
- Prepare the annual scientific program of the Annual Meeting, and
- Maintain close liaison with the Program Committee of the Mental Health Services Conference to facilitate integration of the two meetings in relation to program and site selection. The expenses of the Program Committee (other than for attendance at the Annual Meeting) are included in the budget for the Annual Meeting, which is self-supporting through fees from registration, CME courses, and exhibits.
