Patrice A. Harris, M.D., M.A., became the 174th president of the American Medical Association in June 2019, and is the first African-American woman to hold the position. Dr. Harris has experience as a physician, public health administrator, patient advocate and medical society lobbyist. Dr. Harris will give the 2020 Annual Meeting Opening Session lecture.
