In-Person Only and Virtual-Only Rates⁵

1. This registration category is for Residents and Fellows in training only and does not include Distinguished Fellows, Distinguished Life Fellows, Life Fellows or International Fellows. New for 2026: Residents must provide verification of their current residency status when registering for the 2026 Annual Meeting. Acceptable documentation includes a letter from your residency program director or training institution confirming your active status, or a copy of your current institutional ID.
2. Confirmed presenters will automatically receive the presenter rate when registering through the online registration. Non-psychiatrist presenters should register under the Mental Health Professional Presenter category.
3. Proper credentials, such as a copy of your valid medical student ID, valid student ID, letter from your program director, business card, or letter from the agency stating your role, or a copy of your certification (whichever is applicable) must be uploaded with your online registration. Registrations received without credentials will be canceled. Please submit your credentials in English. Credentials submitted in any other language will not be accepted, and your registration will be cancelled.
4. New for 2026:
   • Mental Health Professional 1 rate is reserved exclusively for (MSW (Master of Social Work), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), BSW (Bachelor of Social Work), ASW (Associate Degree in Social Work), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), Social Work Therapist, Chaplain, Non-physician students (all college students included).
   • Mental Health Professional 2 rate is reserved exclusively for PhD, PsyD (Doctor of Psychology), Clinical Psychologist, PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner), APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse), PA (Physician Assistant), PharmD.
   • Please make sure you select the correct Mental Health Professional category. APA reserves the right to adjust your registration category and price if you sign up under the incorrect Mental Health Professional category.
   • Exhibitor personnel must register for badges through the exhibitor registration portal. Failure to register through the exhibitor portal will deny you access to the Exhibit Hall during off hours.

5. The 2026 APA Annual Meeting only offers in-person or virtual registration types and does not offer any combination of the two or "hybrid" options. If an attendee wishes to participate in both in-person and virtual aspects of the meeting, they may only do so by registering and paying for the two separate events. No exceptions.

   Registered attendees may contact APA to change their registration type between in-person and virtual attendance for no additional change fee prior to April 24, 2026, but may incur a charge for the difference in registration prices. Changing your registration type between April 24 – May 6, 2026 will require (1) payment of an additional change fee and (2) may incur a charge for the difference in registration prices. No changes will be permitted after May 6, 2026, no exceptions.

• Your 2026 membership dues must be paid through December 31, 2026 to receive Annual Meeting member rates.
• On a scheduled payment plan? Your 2026 membership will be active the first week of January, and the Annual Meeting member rate will be available to you at that time.
• Paid your 2026 membership dues online? The member rate will be available within 24 hours on the registration site.
• Paid by check? Processing your payment can take up to two business weeks from the date mailed.
• Medical Student? Your medical Student membership must be active before registering for the Annual Meeting to receive the member rate.
