Celebrating the First Year of Our “Mental Health Care Works Campaign”: The 2024 APA Foundation Benefit

  • January 31, 2024

Ready to celebrate? The annual APA Foundation Benefit will be held on Monday, May 6 in Manhattan, New York, as part of APA’s 2024 Annual Meeting: Confronting Addiction from Prevention to Recovery. Join us for a night of dinner, dancing and fun as we celebrate the progress the APA Foundation has made towards its mission of creating a mentally healthy nation for all!

Meet us at the historic and exquisite Cipriani’s on Broadway to help commemorate the successful first year of the Mental Health Care Works campaign. This multi-year, multimedia public awareness campaign launched media assets in August and has generated more than 56M impressions, while encouraging individuals to take the first step towards overall wellness by seeking out mental health care. Check out the accompanying website, mentalhealthcareworks.org. This campaign connects to the viewer using a series of personas who are struggling with common mental health conditions like generalized anxiety and postpartum depression. New personas will be introduced in 2024. Join us at the benefit to receive a sneak peek of what’s next.

When you attend the APA Foundation Benefit, you support increased access to mental health care for under-resourced groups, many of whom may associate seeking care with fear and shame. Help us break down the barriers to equitable mental wellness by supporting not only Mental Health Care Works, but also our fellowships program, supporting the next generation of psychiatry’s leaders, and our grants and awards programs that connect marginalized groups to needed resources. Visit apafdn.org/benefit to purchase a ticket today!

We hope to see you at the APA Foundation’s annual benefit at Cipriani’s to celebrate the campaign’s success!
