I'm your host, Dr. Regina James, deputy medical director and chief of the Division of Diversity and Health Equity here at the APA. In APA Looking Beyond Unplugged podcast, we try to look beyond a unidimensional approach in understanding mental health outcomes for diverse communities and seek to apply an interdisciplinary lens to help us understand these complex issues that impact mental health and mental health care outcomes, particularly for marginalized and minoritized communities.
