Funded by SAMHSA
These scholarships support travel and related costs for racial/ethnic and underrepresented minority medical students considering a career in psychiatry to attend the Annual Meeting in April 2020.
IPS: The Mental Health Services Conference will not convene in 2020, but will resume in 2021.
This program is a terrific way for medical students to witness organized psychiatry at work and learn more about the field. Not only will students attend sessions for experts and trainees alike, but they will also be assigned a mentor who helps maximize their Annual Meeting or IPS: The Mental Health Services Conference experience and discuss career plans and resident training programs.
The APAF Travel Scholarships for Medical Students is supported by funds from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), under the Minority Fellowship Program.
