Travel Scholarship for Medical Students

Funded by SAMHSA

These scholarships support travel and related costs for racial/ethnic and underrepresented minority medical students considering a career in psychiatry to attend either the Annual Meeting in May or the IPS: The Mental Health Services Conference in October.

This program is a terrific way for medical students to witness organized psychiatry at work and learn more about the field. Not only will students attend sessions for experts and trainees alike, but they will also be assigned a mentor who helps maximize their Annual Meeting or IPS: The Mental Health Services Conference experience and discuss career plans and resident training programs.

The 2019 IPS: The Mental Health Services Conference Travel Award application cycle will begin on April 1, 2019.
