Adolf Meyer Award

The Adolf Meyer Award, established in 1957, honors an individual for lifetime achievement in psychiatric research. The accompanying Adolf Meyer Award Lecture serves to advance psychiatric research by enabling psychiatrists and other conference attendees to hear and interact with an outstanding research scientist.

Criteria/Eligibility

Researchers with an exemplary record of research in psychiatry.

Nomination Requirements

Nominees are selected by the Scientific Program Committee. Award may be given to researchers in the U.S. and abroad.

Deadline

September 30

Award Notification

Seven to 10 days following approval by the APA Board of Trustees at the October or December meeting.

Award Presentation

Presented in a lecture at the APA Annual Meeting.
