MEDIA ADVISORY: Media Encouraged to Attend APA Annual Meeting in San Francisco
what:
The American Psychiatric Association’s 2026 Annual Meeting features nationally recognized experts in psychiatry and mental health policy, research, and clinical practice. The meeting’s theme is Empowering The Psychiatric Workforce: Taking Control of Our Practices One Step at a Time, and it will feature more than 400 educational sessions and more than 1,000 poster sessions.
Media who attend the meeting will have first access to embargoed studies from The American Journal of Psychiatry. They will also have access to in-person, on-the-record talks with APA leadership and other mental health experts; a new research briefing; and more.
Journalists covering Latino communities will have the opportunity to meet with Spanish-speaking APA experts during a special coffee and conversation.
