New This Year: Child Care at the 2026 APA Annual Meeting
The APA Annual Meeting is a valuable opportunity for psychiatrists and mental health professionals to learn, connect, and grow in their field. However, for many attendees who are also parents, traveling with young children can create real challenges. This year, the APA is offering professional on-site child care services to make participation easier and more accessible for families.
Child Care Provided On-Site at Moscone Center
Child care services will be available onsite at the Moscone Center in a dedicated room for children ages 6 months to 12 years.
The child care program is operated through KiddieCorp and children will be able to participate in structured and free-play activities appropriate to their age, which may include group games, crafts, and storytelling.
Flexible Hours to Fit the Meeting Schedule
Child care is offered every day, with hours aligned to help parents make the most of their time at the conference
- Saturday, May 16 — 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Sunday, May 17 — 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Monday, May 18 — 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, May 19 — 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, May 20 — 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
This allows parents to engage fully in scientific sessions and events while knowing their children are nearby and well supervised.
