How Overflow Sessions Work at the Annual Meeting
Popular sessions can fill to capacity at the Annual Meeting. When this happens, your selected session will likely broadcast audio and slides to the overflow room.
Overflow will work a little differently this year than previous meetings.
All overflow sessions will stream to the New Orleans Theater, on the second floor of the convention center.
Important! Be sure to pack and bring your headphones!
You’ll listen to the presentation with your personal smartphone device while watching on the large screen in the overflow room.
Find out which sessions are currently available in the venue’s overflow rooms by viewing “the Wall” feed in the APA Meetings App. APA will also update session listings in the App, but the fastest way to identify if a session is overflowing is to follow the Wall for messages from APA Staff.
Don’t Forget: You have Virtual Meeting Access!
If you’re deciding between sessions, don’t forget that all in-person New Orleans attendees receive complimentary access to the Virtual Meeting, June 7-10.
Many New Orleans sessions will be re-broadcast then – look for sessions in the App with the “Virtual Meeting” tag. Many sessions will also be available in the On Demand package.
