Anti-AAPI+ Racism: Coalition Building and Healing Our Communities and Workforce
Mental health is a major concern among AAPI+ populations in the United States however, AAPI+ communities have the lowest mental help-seeking rate when compared with other ethnic groups. This course will discuss how psychiatry can intervene from an individual level with culturally competent patient care to antiracist systems-based approaches for bolstering a stronger and healthier workforce as well as addressing these gaps of mental health care in the AAPI+ patient population.
