Yes! You may apply for funding even if you have already registered for the Annual Meeting. If you are awarded funding, APA will refund your registration fee. You will need to provide APA with your registration receipt, and it may take up to 60 days from the submission of your receipt to process the refund.

If you are awarded funding through the APA Scholars Program, your registration fee will be refunded after you submit your session reports cards at the conference.

There is no registration fee for Medical Students to register for and attend the 2024 Annual Meeting.

If you are awarded funding by applying to the APA/APAF Fellowship Program or the APAF Ambassadors Program, complimentary registration can be used for either the in-person or the virtual Annual Meeting.

If you are awarded funding by applying to the APA Scholars Program, complimentary registration can be used for only the in-person Annual Meeting.

Yes, you can apply to any combination of the three programs to be eligible to receive PASS Program funding, but you will only receive one award for complimentary registration and/or one award of up to three, free nights of lodging*.

You may participate in all three programs at the same time.

Please consider and plan accordingly to accept this travel grant thoughtfully. If you agree to use the travel award and then later choose not to do so (thus preventing others from using these funds), you will not be eligible for PASS awards in the future. If, after accepting this award, you later discover that you cannot attend in person, please email us immediately at [email protected]. We will try to provide you with the option to attend the meeting virtually, if registration slots are still available.

If you need to make any changes or cancellations to your reservation on or before May 2, 2024, call 855-992-3353. Changes or cancellations to your reservation after this date must be made directly with the hotel.

If you want to change your reservation to a different hotel, the new hotel must be from the specific list of hotels assigned for the PASS program. You will need to contact the phone number on your confirmation email to make hotel changes. Please note hotel changes are based on availability.

An active APA membership is required to apply for the PASS program. You can apply for membership here and include the word "PASS" in the APA Promotion Code field. Please plan for a 3-4 business day turnaround for your application to be reviewed and processed. An email will be sent upon approval.

Note: residents and fellows must adhere to APA’s dual membership requirement, which includes membership in a district branch (and also the State Association if your training program is in New York State). Medical students join only APA.

Medical students do not pay dues throughout their membership period. Residents’ and Fellows’ dues are waived for the first year of membership (except for those in the jurisdiction of Queens, N.Y.). After the first year of membership, dues rates can be found here.
