MEDIA ADVISORY: American Psychiatric Association Hosts Wreath-Laying Ceremony Honoring Psychiatrists Who Served in Vietnam

WHAT:

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) will host a wreath-laying ceremony on Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall to honor the 200 psychiatrists who served during the war. The memorial includes the names of more than 58,000 servicemen and women who gave their lives in service in the Vietnam Conflict, including psychiatrist and U.S. Army Capt. Peter B. Livingston, M.D.

James R. Batterson, M.D., Speaker of the Assembly of the APA

Thursday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. EST.

The ceremony will take place at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall
