Participate in APA National Elections

APA uses a hybrid balloting process for national elections. This means that an eligible voting member can expect to receive either an email with a link to his or her electronic ballot or a paper ballot via U.S. mail. All voters with a valid email address on file are sent electronic ballots, while voters with invalid or missing email addresses are mailed paper ballots. Voters who have yet to cast a vote in the election are sent an electronic ballot once a week until the voting deadline. All emails are sent with "APA Election" in the subject line. Please ensure that the email is not read as spam.

Voters receiving a paper ballot can vote online by following the instructions on their paper ballot. Eligible voting members without an electronic or paper ballot can vote online through the APA homepage using their member login information. If you do not know your member login or are experiencing trouble with your login, please call 1-888-35-PSYCH for assistance.

If you are an eligible voting member without a ballot and unable to vote through the APA website, electronic ballots are available by contacting election@psych.org by the ballot request deadline. APA ensures the secure handling of ballots through the reputable third-party election management firm Survey & Ballot.

Questions and comments should be sent to election@psych.org.
