About 1 in 4 US adults suffers from some kind of mental disorder each year. And when mental health strikes, it may be harder on African Americans because many do not get the mental health services they need. Having a mental health is not something many African Americans want to talk about. But mental health is nothing to be ashamed of! It is a medical problem, just like heart disease or diabetes.
