APA Diversity Mental Health Month is a time to:

  • Highlight the unique mental health issues of diverse populations
  • Focus on efforts to reduce mental health disparities
  • Enhance health care professionals' cultural competence

The theme for 2015 is Culturally Appropriate Care, helping psychiatrists and all mental health professionals to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse population.
