Voting

The APA will continue to have a hybrid election with electronic ballots going to eligible voters with a valid email address on file. Eligible voters without a valid email on file will be sent a paper ballot with instructions on how to vote online. 

Eligible voters are APA members classified as anything other than a Medical Student member or an International Member.

Voting Begins: January 3rd
Voting Deadline: January 31st (5pm Eastern Time)


In the 2011 Election, 75% of voters voted electronically.

Electronic ballots will be emailed to eligible voters and also be available through the APA website beginning on January 3. Paper ballots will be mailed first class on January 3 and should arrive in about a week depending on the address. At any point from when voting begins to when it ends, eligible voters can visit the APA website to login in and vote. Any requests for an electronic ballot should be sent to election@psych.org by January 24. Only electronic ballots will be provided upon request.
