Resources for Psychiatrists Who Lost a Patient to Suicide

Suicide Prevention International (SPI) and the American Psychiatric Association, in a joint effort to help therapists deal with the loss of a patient to suicide, are presenting "Therapists Reaction to the Suicide of a Patient", an audio-slide presentation by Dr. Herbert Hendin, CEO and Medical Director of SPI. To complement this presentation, SPI will be conducting teleconferences of small groups of APA members during which problems in the aftermath of such a loss can be discussed with experts. Further information about participation is available in the presentation posted on the SPI website. Download the SPI form here and they will contact you to arrange the time of the conference call.
