MindGames

Much like a popular television game show, MINDGAMES is a national team competition for residents at the APA Annual Meeting. The game pits residency programs against each other in a battle to final competition. Each general psychiatry residency program is qualified to compete for the coveted title of national champion and the bragging rights that comes with it.
How It Works:
The preliminary qualifying phase is an online contest where general psychiatry residency programs take a timed examination. Each program must name a team of three residents who will compete. Each team will receive a special code to take the online examination. The team will answer 150 questions in 60 minutes loosely based on the ABPN Part 1 content outline with additional neurology and psychiatry history questions.
The top three residency programs with the highest score will receive a $5,000 grant from the APA to attend the national MINDGAMES competition.
